The Town of Aurora Accessibility Advisory Committee is pleased to present the Accessibility section of our website.
People with disabilities represents a significant and growing part of the Province’s population. According to Statistics Canada, about 1.9 million Ontarians have disabilities or about 16% of the population. Disability tends to increase with age and in less than two decades it is estimated that 20% of the population will have disabilities. Enhancing the ability of people with disabilities to live independently and contribute to the community will have positive effects on their future prosperity.
The Town of Aurora is committed to providing a safe community with effective services for residents and businesses to prosper and enjoy a good quality of life for all.
