The Town of Aurora currently operates and maintains four large outdoor skating rinks. The rinks are located in Ada Johnson Park, Confederation Park, Machell Park and Town Park.
Construction, success and longevity of these rinks is entirely weather-permitting. Rinks have opened in the past as early as mid-December, however, typical winters will see the rinks open only during the months of January and February. All four rinks are lighted and operate until 11 p.m. nightly.
Opportunities exist for outdoor rinks in other parks throughout Town through the efforts of community and neighbourhood volunteers. Please contact the Town of Aurora, Department of Parks and Recreation Services staff for all questions relating to Town-operated and volunteer-operated outdoor skating rinks, at 905-727 3123 ext. 3233.
